PupTag Privacy Policy

PupTag ("we," "us") is a records and enrollment service for dog owners and the pet-care businesses they choose to work with. This policy explains what we collect and how we handle it.
What we collect. When you create an account we receive your name and email address (from Google sign-in or the email link you use). You may add contact details — phone number and address — and profiles for your dogs, including names, breeds, photos, and the records you upload: vaccination certificates, license documents, and related paperwork. We also use the cookies necessary to keep you signed in; we don't use advertising or tracking cookies.
How we use it. To run the service: keeping your dogs' records in one place, showing them to you, and sharing them with the pet-care businesses you explicitly authorize. We may email you about your account or your dogs' records (for example, an expiring vaccination). We don't sell your information, and we don't share it with anyone you haven't authorized, except the service providers below.
Who we share it with. Businesses you authorize — a daycare or facility only sees your dogs' information after you grant them access, and you can revoke that access at any time. Service providers that make the app work: our database and file-storage provider (Supabase), Google (if you sign in with Google), and our email delivery provider. Each processes data only to provide their service to us. We may disclose information if the law requires it.
Analytics. We use analytics tools (PostHog) to collect usage data and session recordings so we can understand how the service is used and improve it, and Vercel Analytics for anonymous traffic measurement.
Storage and security. Data is encrypted in transit and stored in access-controlled systems. Uploaded documents live in private storage and are only served to you and the businesses you've authorized.
Your choices. You can view and update your information in the app. To request deletion of your account and data, email us and we'll take care of it. You can revoke a business's access to your dogs' records at any time from your account.
Children. PupTag is for dog parents, not kids — the service isn't directed to children under 13 and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes. If this policy changes materially, we'll post the update here with a new effective date.
